Fixed Ball Valves
What Are Fixed Ball Valves?
A fixed ball valve uses bearing-supported trunnion components to hold the ball in position. Unlike floating ball designs, the operating torque is largely independent of line pressure, because the ball is supported by the trunnion bearings rather than being pressed against the downstream seat by the medium. This makes fixed ball valves suitable for larger sizes and higher pressure classes where floating ball designs would require higher operating torque.
Honiks is a factory-backed industrial valve supplier in China with access to qualified partner factories for fixed ball valve production. See HN106 Fixed Ball Valve for catalog reference data covering Class 150-2500 configurations, with fire-safe and anti-static design references.

Frequently Asked Questions
When should I choose a fixed ball valve over a floating ball valve?
Fixed ball valves are typically selected for larger sizes and higher pressure classes where a floating ball design would require higher operating torque. The trunnion support helps keep operating torque manageable independent of line pressure.
Are fixed ball valves available with fire-safe design?
Yes. Fire-safe design according to API 607 or BS 6755 can be specified for fixed ball valve configurations. Contact Honiks with your project specification for confirmation.
